We are HOME!

Thank you for your prayer.....we have all made it home safely. We will try to gather additional pictures during the next week and get them posted on the Church Webpage.

Once again, Thanks for your prayers

Be Blesses.

Packing Up, Heading Home

We are just about loaded up and are waiting for the BYBC and Sports Camp folks to return from their last day with these precious children. This day is always bitter sweet. We look forward to being back home with family and friends but it is always hard to say goodbye to those we have made friends with during the last 7 days. The toughest are always the little kids who beg you not to leave and to come back tomorrow. It is obvious that the love they get from our folks is just about all of the love they ever get. Rest assured that as the vans and bus pull away there will be tears shed by all concerned. We thank God for the sweet memories He allows us to make on trips like this.

Continue to pray for traveling mercies for us this afternoon and evening.

Be Blessed!

Thursday

has come and gone. There were 9 salvation decisions in the BYBCs and Sports Camp will have decisions tomorrow. Please pray that God will move in the lives of these children.

Our celebration dinner was enjoyed by all and we had enough left over for lunch tomorrow before we head home!! Please pray for our safety while traveling and we hope to be home around 10:00pm or so.........

Be Blessed

Wednesday was Great!

Wednesday was another great day here in Winchester, both physically (slightly overcast and highs in the mid 70's) and spiritually (increased numbers in BYBC and sports camp and 106 guests at the block party with 13 salvations!!) We had some rain for about 30 minutes before the block party, but God was faithful and stopped the rain about 10 minutes before start time!

Everyone is back at their respective morning places and the cooks are hard at work preparing our lunch (mustgo's) as well as working on our celebration supper tonight. We have 100 pounds of fine Kentucky Pork on the smoker and will add Hash Brown Casserole, Baked Beans, Salad to the mix.

Please pray for our people this morning as today is "decision day" at all of the morning activities.

Thanks for looking in and please feel free to leave a comment--we would love to here from you!

Be Blessed

All I Can Say Is.......

WOW!!!!

God has truly been working and blessing the past 2 days, I apologize up front for the lack of updates.

The Backyard Bible Clubs all started off a little slower than hoped on Monday (but that is usually the case) and all of them grew a good bit today. Sports Camp also started a little slow but they more than doubled their number today. We are praying that He will continue to bring people to all of these and use us to tell them about Jesus.

Our block parties on Sunday and Monday nights were very similar. We registered about 50-60 guests and had 3 or 4 salvation decisions each night. Tonight (Tuesday) we registered 363 guests and had 20 people come to know Jesus as Lord!!!!!!!!

For all of you Moms and Dads at home who may or may not have heard from your child, everyone is doing very well. We are really working well as a team this year and have noticed a level of maturity from our young people that is higher than normal. You should all be very proud of your children. :)

Please continue to bathe this trip in prayer the next 3 days as we continue to do what God would have us do here in Winchester.

Be Blessed.

Just a Quick Update.....

We have just finished our Town Hall Meeting for this evening. Our first Block Party was held at Center Baptist Church in downtown Winchester. We had 52 people register and 3 people came to know the Lord as their personal Lord and Savior!!!

More to follow tomorrow and hopefully some pictures!

Keep Praying......

Be Blessed!

Suffering for Jesus....

We have all arrived safely, found places to lay our heads and finished our traditional first meal. We thank God that everyone has arrived safely and only one vehicle tried to go the wrong way. (I'm not telling, you will have to ask around)

We are getting ready for our town meeting and then hopefully an early bed time (yeah right!).

We will be dividing up and going to several different Churches for worship in the morning and then go to the different areas to canvas for the block party tomorrow night and BYBC and Sports Camps this coming week.

Be Blessed!

The Note

This note was left for us by the people whose building we are invading this week. It is a simple note but for some reason it REALLY pulled at my heart strings.

Here we are, 120+ strong, taking over most of 2 buildings for a week. They are having to alter their routines....... they have moved a lot of furniture and emptied many rooms....... and generally made an untold number of allowances for us to be able to have a place to sleep and eat for a week. Then, after all of the trouble they have gone to.......they leave a note telling us WE are a blessing to THEM.

I pray the attitudes would be the same if the roles were reversed.

Through tear soaked eyes.................

WE ARE HERE..........

Well, some of us anyway! Everyone who left Friday morning has now safely arrived here in Winchester. We thank God for safe travel. The facilities here are wonderful and the people have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome and provide everything we need.

Well it is late and everyone is heading to bed so we will write more tomorrow.

Please pray for the remainder of our team who will be traveling on Saturday.

Be Blessed!
